What?

For SCOTO’s fourth annual Gathering, we’re excited to be heading to a city location for the very first time! An inspiring programme is coming together, and we can’t wait to welcome both familiar faces and new networkers to join us in Glasgow. More details coming soon!

What makes a Gathering truly special? You do. Your participation goes beyond simply attending — it’s about sharing ideas, shaping conversations, and strengthening the SCOTO network together.

WHY ATTEND?
Who?

Whether you're a community tourism activist, worker or volunteer or simply interested in knowing more about community led tourism in Scotland, this gathering is perfect for you. Connect with like-minded individuals from across Scotland, share ideas, and discover new ways to develop and promote responsible tourism, which brings real benefits back into the host community.

We also welcome others from across the tourism sector and other parts of the UK who are keen to learn from our Network.

Aileen Crawford, Head of Tourism and Conventions at the award-winning Glasgow Convention Bureau, sits on the Tourism and Hospitality Leadership Group alongside our Executive Director Carron Tobin, and plays a key role in the Communities Leading in Tourism mission group.

Aileen joined us in Montrose for the SCOTO Gathering back in February 25, where she began exploring the urban potential of community tourism in earnest. Hear her announce the location of the next Gathering 2026.

The SCOTO Gathering Learning Exchanges have again been generously support by Scottish Community Alliance.
