Community Tourism Day 2026

EVERYONE CAN EMPOWER COMMUNITIES THROUGH TOURISM

What is Community Tourism Day?

To celebrate and recognise the incredible community tourism activity happening across Scotland and the UK, we’re hosting the second Community Tourism Day!

It also marks the 4th birthday of SCOTO – Community Tourism Network CIC, so we’ll be shining a light on our network initiatives across Scotland and highlighting how our partners and others are empowering communities through tourism.

How can I get involved?

To mark the day, we’ll be sharing blogs, podcasts, messages and events happening on the lead up to Saturday 25 April. Like this message from South of Scotland Destination Alliance from last year or the many messages and blogs below.

We’d love you to get involved too by sharing your stories, showcase your work, and be part of the conversation.

Below are different ways you can be part of the day and you can also download our Community Tourism Day - Get Involved PDF here > or link to our campaign art work here >

Don’t forget to use #CommunityTourism26 and tag SCOTO @scotonetwork so we can see and share your posts!
